Iowa State vs The Citadel Final: 130-63 - Recap
The Citadel was run off the court by Iowa State on Sunday as they blasted them 130-63 at Hilton Coliseum.
Iowa State won and also put money in the pockets of their supporters by covering the -31.5-point spread as favorites.
Naz Long had 26 points for Iowa State and Matt Thomas chipped in with 18 points. Monte Morris had 10 assists for them, while Darrell Bowie was the team's top rebounder, grabbing 10 boards.
The Citadel got 15 points from Quayson Williams in a losing cause and another 12 points from Matt Frierson. Preston Parks contributed 6 assists for them, while Kaelon Harris had 8 rebounds.
Iowa State was winning at the break before taking care of business in the second half.
Iowa State won the battle of the boards, outrebounding their counterparts 63-29.
Next game, Iowa State takes its act home to face Indiana State looking for another win. For The Citadel, they head on the road to face Arizona State.
