Purdue won and also put money in the pockets of their supporters by covering the -3.5-point spread as favorites.

Maryland got a 20-point performance from Anthony Cowan, who was supported by 19 points from Kevin Huerter. Anthony Cowan had 5 assists in a losing cause for Maryland, while Justin Jackson grabbed 8 rebounds.
Purdue led at halftime, 43-38.
