Samford got 26 points from Demetrius Dyson en route to a 107-91 victory over The Citadel on Thursday at McAlister Field House.
Samford won and also put money in the pockets of their supporters by covering the -3.5-point spread as favorites.
Triston Chambers had 24 points for Samford and Alex Thompson chipped in with 14 points. Justin Coleman had 13 assists for them, while Demetrius Dyson was the team's top rebounder, grabbing 8 boards.
The Citadel got a 21-point performance from Zane Najdawi, who was supported by 19 points from Alex Reed. Frankie Johnson had 6 assists in a losing cause for The Citadel, while Frankie Johnson grabbed 7 rebounds.
