Storm vs Mercury Final: 91-87 - Recap
Breanna Stewart scored 28 points for Seattle on Sunday, leading the Storm to a 91-87 victory over Phoenix at KeyArena.
Seattle did not, however, defeat the Mercury against the spread, which closed at -6.0 at most sportsbooks. Totals bettors, meanwhile, saw the game go OVER the closing number of 175.5.
Jewell Loyd had 23 points for Seattle and Natasha Howard chipped in with 20 points. Sue Bird had 10 assists for the Storm, while Breanna Stewart was the team's top rebounder, grabbing 7 boards.
Phoenix got 27 points from DeWanna Bonner in a losing cause and another 25 points from Diana Taurasi. Diana Taurasi contributed 6 assists for the Mercury, while DeWanna Bonner had 13 rebounds.
The Storm hit the break winning 54-50 before taking care of business in the second half.
Phoenix won the battle of the boards, outrebounding their counterparts 33-31.
