Toronto Falls 41-16 to Roughriders - Recap

The Roughriders got a 3-TD performance from Cody Fajardo as Saskatchewan handed Toronto a 41-16 defeat on Saturday at BMO Field.

Saskatchewan won and also put money in the pockets of their supporters by covering the -6.5-point spread as favorites. Totals bettors, meanwhile, saw the game go OVER the closing number of 49.0.

Cody Fajardo completed 23 of 27 pass attempts for 278 yards and 3 TDs for the Roughriders in the win.

Chris Rainey rushed for 50 yards for Toronto, while James Wilder Jr. added 42 yards. James Franklin threw for 208 yards for the Argonauts, while receivers S.J. Green and Chris Rainey had 55 and 52 yards respectively.

Toronto lost the offensive yardage battle to Saskatchewan 425-314 yards in Saturday's game. Saskatchewan had more first downs as that total ended up 24-16.

The time of possession battle favored Saskatchewan as their offense was on the field for 34:15, longer than the 25:45 of their opponents.

Next game, Saskatchewan takes its act home to face Winnipeg looking for another win. For Toronto, they head on the road to face British Columbia.
