Calgary Defeats Toronto 22-19 - Recap

Shawn Bane Jr. caught 4 passes for 129 yards against the Toronto defense as Calgary handed the Argonauts a 22-19 loss on Saturday at BMO Field.

The Stampeders were a -2.0-point favorite in the win, and managed to turn a profit for their supporters. The combined score dipped UNDER the total, which closed at 49.0.

Dedrick Mills rushed for 48 yards, while Peyton Logan added 32 yards in the win. Shawn Bane Jr. and Kamar Jorden added 129 and 57 receiving yards respectively.

Chad Kelly rushed for 28 yards for Toronto, while A.J. Ouellette added 18 yards. McLeod Bethel-Thompson threw for 276 yards for the Argonauts, while receivers A.J. Ouellette and DaVaris Daniels had 92 and 70 yards respectively.

Calgary outgained Toronto 398-337 yards in the game, while the battle of first downs was won 18-17 by the Argonauts.

Toronto led the time of possession tally, as the game finished as a 32:01-27:59 split in that important category.

Next game, Calgary takes its act on the road to face Winnipeg looking for another win. For Toronto, they head home to face Hamilton.
