Lions vs Roughriders Final: 19-9 - Recap

The Lions were Week 7 winners on Saturday, coming out on top of the Roughriders by a score of 19-9 at BC Place.

The Lions earned a straight-up victory but suffered an ATS defeat in failing to cover the -10.5-point spread. Over-Under bettors who played UNDER the total of 46.5 were rewarded with a winning wager.

Shaun Shivers rushed for 21 yards, while Dane Evans added 12 yards in the win. Keon Hatcher and Alexander Hollins added 74 and 56 receiving yards respectively.

Jamal Morrow rushed for 11 yards for Saskatchewan, while Frankie Hickson added 3 yards. Mason Fine threw for 284 yards for the Roughriders, while receivers Tevin Jones and Shawn Bane Jr. had 75 and 74 yards respectively.

Saskatchewan outgained British Columbia 300-261 yards in the game, while the battle of first downs was won 13-12 by the Roughriders.

The time of possession battle favored Saskatchewan as their offense was on the field for 32:25, longer than the 25:39 of their opponents.

British Columbia looks to continue their winning ways next game with a battle against the Elks. The Roughriders will aim to get back on the winning track at Toronto.
