Stampeders Fall 25-23 Against Edmonton - Game Recap

Edmonton got a 143-yard performance from Kevin Brown as a key part of its 25-23 victory over the Stampeders on Saturday at The Brick Field at Commonwealth Stadium.

Edmonton won and also put money in the pockets of their supporters by covering the -1.5-point spread as favorites. Totals bettors, meanwhile, saw the game go UNDER the closing number of 49.0.

Kevin Brown rushed for 143 yards, while Tre Ford added 82 yards in the win. Eugene Lewis and Dillon Mitchell added 89 and 44 receiving yards respectively.

Ka'Deem Carey rushed for 77 yards for Calgary, while LeVante Bellamy added 24 yards. Jake Maier threw for 210 yards for the Stampeders, while receivers Marken Michel and Reggie Begelton had 62 and 56 yards respectively.

Calgary lost the offensive yardage battle to Edmonton 399-335 yards in Saturday's game. Edmonton had more first downs as that total ended up 20-19.

The time of possession battle favored Calgary as their offense was on the field for 32:09, longer than the 27:51 of their opponents.

Next game, Edmonton takes its act on the road to face Saskatchewan looking for another win. For Calgary, they head home to face Montreal.
