Louisiana-Lafayette Ragin' Cajuns vs Appalachian State Mountaineers Wrap - Appalachian State Wins 30-19

Darrynton Evans tore up the turf for 111 rushing yards on Saturday to lead the Mountaineers to a 30-19 win over the Ragin' Cajuns at Kidd Brewer Stadium.

The Mountaineers won the battle on the scoreboard, but not at the payout window as they failed to cover the -17.0-point spread. UNDER bettors were rewarded when the final score pointed to an UNDER play.

Darrynton Evans rushed for 111 yards, while Zac Thomas added 59 yards in the win. Marcus Williams Jr. and Collin Reed added 34 and 23 receiving yards respectively.

Trey Ragas rushed for 101 yards for Louisiana-Lafayette, while Elijah Mitchell added 85 yards. Andre Nunez threw for 85 yards for the Ragin' Cajuns, while receivers Ja'Marcus Bradley and Trey Ragas had 41 and 26 yards respectively.

Appalachian State lost the offensive yardage battle to Louisiana-Lafayette 301-300 yards in Saturday's game. Louisiana-Lafayette had more first downs as that total ended up 16-13.

Appalachian State lost the time of possession battle 31:24-28:30, leaving their defense on the field more than they wanted.
