UNLV Falls 30-14 to Wildcats - Recap
Northwestern got a 141-yard performance from Drake Anderson as a key part of its 30-14 victory over the Rebels on Saturday at Ryan Field.
Northwestern won on the scoreboard, but lost at the pay window as they failed to cover the -18.5-point spread. The game went UNDER the consensus closing total of 51.5.
Drake Anderson rushed for 141 yards, while Jesse Brown added 79 yards in the win. JJ Jefferson and Bennett Skowronek added 61 and 57 receiving yards respectively.
Charles Williams rushed for 144 yards for UNLV, while Armani Rogers added 57 yards. Armani Rogers threw for 120 yards for the Rebels, while receivers Noah Bean and Randal Grimes had 27 and 27 yards respectively.
UNLV was outgained by Northwestern 441-330 yards in Saturday's match, while the important battle of first downs was won 26-17 by the Wildcats.
UNLV lost the time of possession battle 32:38-27:22, leaving their defense on the field more than they wanted.
Northwestern heads into a Week 4 battle against Michigan State. UNLV, meanwhile, will have their next action against Wyoming.
