Cardinal Fall 21-6 Against Oregon - Game Recap

The Cardinal came up short against the Ducks in Week 4 action on Saturday, falling 21-6 at Stanford Stadium.

Bettors who backed the Ducks were also rewarded, as they covered the closing number as a favorite of -12.0 at sportsbooks. Over-Under bettors saw the total score go UNDER the closing total of 55.5.

CJ Verdell rushed for 82 yards, while Travis Dye added 1 yards in the win. Jacob Breeland and Jaylon Redd added 78 and 54 receiving yards respectively.

Cameron Scarlett rushed for 97 yards for Stanford, while Austin Jones added 20 yards. K.J. Costello threw for 120 yards for the Cardinal, while receivers Michael Wilson and Osiris St. Brown had 61 and 28 yards respectively.

Stanford lost the offensive yardage battle to Oregon 320-234 yards in Saturday's game. Oregon had more first downs as that total ended up 17-13.

Oregon lost the time of possession battle 34:21-25:39, leaving their defense on the field more than they wanted.

Next game, Oregon takes its act home to face California looking for another win. For Stanford, they head on the road to face Oregon State.
