Rice Falls 23-20 to Bulldogs - Recap
The Bulldogs grabbed a Week 5 victory over the Owls on Saturday, winning 23-20 at Rice Stadium.
The Bulldogs won the battle on the scoreboard, but not at the payout window as they failed to cover the -8.5-point spread. UNDER bettors were rewarded when the final score pointed to an UNDER play.
Justin Henderson rushed for 64 yards, while Jaqwis Dancy added 17 yards in the win. Adrian Hardy and Cee Jay Powell added 78 and 71 receiving yards respectively.
Aston Walter rushed for 112 yards for Rice, while Charlie Booker added 70 yards. Wiley Green threw for 128 yards for the Owls, while receivers Brad Rozner and Austin Trammell had 64 and 53 yards respectively.
The time of possession battle favored Rice as their offense was on the field for 36:53, longer than the 23:07 of their opponents.
Next game, LA Tech takes its act home to face Massachusetts looking for another win. For Rice, they head on the road to face Alabama-Birmingham.
