Louisville Defeats Boston College 41-39 - Recap

Javian Hawkins tore up the turf for 172 rushing yards on Saturday to lead the Cardinals to a 41-39 win over the Eagles at Papa John's Cardinal Stadium.

Louisville did not, however, defeat the Eagles against the spread, which closed at -3.5 at most sportsbooks. Totals bettors, meanwhile, saw the game go OVER the closing number of 61.0.

Javian Hawkins rushed for 172 yards, while Malik Cunningham added 43 yards in the win. Seth Dawkins and Chatarius Atwell added 170 and 110 receiving yards respectively.

AJ Dillon rushed for 118 yards for Boston College, while Dennis Grosel added 47 yards. Dennis Grosel threw for 111 yards for the Eagles, while receivers Hunter Long and Zay Flowers had 99 and 72 yards respectively.

Louisville outgained Boston College 664-563 yards in the game, while the battle of first downs was won 26-24 by the Cardinals.

Louisville led the time of possession tally, as the game finished as a 34:54-25:06 split in that important category.

Louisville looks to continue their winning ways next game with a battle against Wake Forest. Boston College will aim to get back on the winning track vs. North Carolina State.
