Texas Defeats West Virginia 42-31 - Recap

Roschon Johnson scampered through the West Virginia defense for 121 yards as Texas handed the Mountaineers a 42-31 defeat on Saturday at Mountaineer Field at Milan Puskar Stadium.

Texas was the ATS victor, as they covered the -10.5-point spread as a favorite. Over-Under bettors who played OVER the total of 62.0 were rewarded at the payout window.

Roschon Johnson rushed for 121 yards, while Sam Ehlinger added 45 yards in the win. Devin Duvernay and Malcolm Epps added 86 and 34 receiving yards respectively.

Kennedy McKoy rushed for 30 yards for West Virginia, while Leddie Brown added 25 yards. Austin Kendall threw for 367 yards for the Mountaineers, while receivers T.J. Simmons and Sean Ryan had 135 and 70 yards respectively.

West Virginia outgained Texas 463-427 yards in the game, while the battle of first downs was won 26-24 by the Longhorns.

Texas led the time of possession tally, as the game finished as a 36:04-23:56 split in that important category.

Texas looks to continue their winning ways next game with a battle against Oklahoma. West Virginia will aim to get back on the winning track vs. Iowa State.
