Cincinnati Defeats Houston 38-23 - Recap

Rashad Medaris caught 3 passes for 121 yards against the Houston defense as Cincinnati handed the Cougars a 38-23 loss on Saturday at TDECU Stadium.

Cincinnati won and also put money in the pockets of their supporters by covering the -9.5-point spread as favorites. Totals bettors, meanwhile, saw the game go OVER the closing number of 50.0.

Michael Warren II rushed for 68 yards, while Desmond Ridder added 50 yards in the win. Rashad Medaris and Alec Pierce added 121 and 59 receiving yards respectively.

Kyle Porter rushed for 107 yards for Houston, while Bryson Smith added 27 yards. Clayton Tune threw for 184 yards for the Cougars, while receivers Marquez Stevenson and Tre'von Bradley had 120 and 52 yards respectively.

Cincinnati lost the offensive yardage battle to Houston 424-394 yards in Saturday's game. Cincinnati had more first downs as that total ended up 17-16.

The time of possession battle favored Houston as their offense was on the field for 30:20, longer than the 29:40 of their opponents.

Cincinnati looks to continue their winning ways next game with a battle against Tulsa. Houston will aim to get back on the winning track at Connecticut.
