Trojans Fall 30-27 Against Notre Dame - Game Recap
Tony Jones Jr tore up the turf for 176 rushing yards on Saturday to lead the Fighting Irish to a 30-27 win over the Trojans at Notre Dame Stadium.
Notre Dame did not, however, defeat the Trojans against the spread, which closed at -10.5 at most sportsbooks. Totals bettors, meanwhile, saw the game go UNDER the closing number of 59.0.
Tony Jones Jr rushed for 176 yards, while Braden Lenzy added 51 yards in the win. Cole Kmet and Chase Claypool added 61 and 47 receiving yards respectively.
Markese Stepp rushed for 82 yards for USC, while Vavae Malepeai added 46 yards. Kedon Slovis threw for 255 yards for the Trojans, while receivers Amon-Ra St. Brown and Tyler Vaughns had 112 and 47 yards respectively.
USC lost the time of possession battle 31:24-28:36, leaving their defense on the field more than they wanted.
Notre Dame looks to continue their winning ways next game with a battle against Michigan. USC will aim to get back on the winning track vs. Arizona.
