Kansas Falls 50-48 to Longhorns - Recap
Sam Ehlinger led the way with 399 passing yards on Saturday as the Longhorns picked up a 50-48 victory over the Jayhawks at Darrell K Royal-Texas Memorial Stadium.
Texas did not, however, defeat the Jayhawks against the spread, which closed at -21.0 at most sportsbooks. Totals bettors, meanwhile, saw the game go OVER the closing number of 63.0.
Sam Ehlinger completed 31 of 44 pass attempts for 399 yards for the Longhorns in the win.
Pooka Williams Jr. rushed for 190 yards for Kansas, while Carter Stanley added 65 yards. Carter Stanley threw for 310 yards for the Jayhawks, while receivers Andrew Parchment and Stephon Robinson Jr. had 83 and 67 yards respectively.
Texas outgained Kansas 638-569 yards in the game, while the battle of first downs was won 33-27 by the Longhorns.
The time of possession battle favored Kansas as their offense was on the field for 31:31, longer than the 28:29 of their opponents.
Texas heads into a Week 9 battle against Texas Christian. Kansas, meanwhile, will have their next action against Texas Tech.
