Wyoming Defeats New Mexico 23-10 - Recap

Xazavian Valladay tore up the turf for 127 rushing yards on Saturday to lead the Cowboys to a 23-10 win over the Lobos at War Memorial Stadium-WY.

Wyoming did not, however, defeat the Lobos against the spread, which closed at -17.5 at most sportsbooks. Totals bettors, meanwhile, saw the game go UNDER the closing number of 49.0.

Xazavian Valladay rushed for 127 yards, while Sean Chambers added 117 yards in the win. John Okwoli and Xazavian Valladay added 33 and 25 receiving yards respectively.

Ahmari Davis rushed for 86 yards for New Mexico, while Bryson Carroll added 55 yards. Tevaka Salanoa-Tuioti threw for 60 yards for the Lobos, while receivers Jordan Kress and Aaron Molina had 94 and 35 yards respectively.

Wyoming lost the offensive yardage battle to New Mexico 372-345 yards in Saturday's game. Wyoming had more first downs as that total ended up 21-20.

New Mexico lost the time of possession battle 35:13-24:47, leaving their defense on the field more than they wanted.

Next game, Wyoming takes its act home to face Nevada looking for another win. For New Mexico, they head home to face Hawaii.
