WKU Defeats Charlotte 30-14 - Recap

Lucky Jackson inflicted damage on the Charlotte secondary, receiving 141 yards as WKU defeated the 49ers 30-14 at L.T. Smith Stadium.

Bettors who backed the Hilltoppers were also rewarded, as they covered the closing number as a favorite of -9.5 at sportsbooks. Over-Under bettors saw the total score go UNDER the closing total of 48.5.

Gaej Walker rushed for 70 yards, while Ty Storey added -2 yards in the win. Lucky Jackson and Jahcour Pearson added 141 and 68 receiving yards respectively.

WKU outgained Charlotte 351-286 yards in the game, while the battle of first downs was won 19-14 by the Hilltoppers.

The time of possession battle favored WKU as their offense was on the field for 31:35, longer than the 28:25 of their opponents.

WKU looks to continue their winning ways next game with a battle against Marshall. Charlotte will aim to get back on the winning track vs. North Texas.
