Middle Tennessee Falls 33-30 to Mean Green - Recap
Mason Fine was good for 375 yards through the air on Saturday as the Mean Green got past the Blue Raiders by a score of 33-30 at Apogee Stadium.
The Mean Green earned a straight-up victory but suffered an ATS defeat in failing to cover the -7.0-point spread. Over-Under bettors who played OVER the total of 59.5 were rewarded with a winning wager.
Mason Fine completed 33 of 45 pass attempts for 375 yards for the Mean Green in the win.
Asher O'Hara rushed for 82 yards for Middle Tennessee, while Terelle West added 36 yards. Chase Cunningham threw for 119 yards for the Blue Raiders, while receivers Zack Dobson and Jarrin Pierce had 56 and 55 yards respectively.
Middle Tennessee was outgained by North Texas 507-433 yards in Saturday's match, while the important battle of first downs was won 27-23 by the Mean Green.
The time of possession battle favored North Texas as their offense was on the field for 31:47, longer than the 28:13 of their opponents.
Next game, North Texas takes its act on the road to face Charlotte looking for another win. For Middle Tennessee, they head home to face Florida International.
