Cincinnati Defeats Tulsa 24-13 - Recap

Cincinnati earned a 24-13 victory over Tulsa on Saturday in Week 8 action at Nippert Stadium.

Cincinnati won on the scoreboard, but lost at the pay window as they failed to cover the -15.5-point spread. The game went UNDER the consensus closing total of 47.0.

Gerrid Doaks rushed for 91 yards, while Michael Warren II added 35 yards in the win. Alec Pierce and Rashad Medaris added 63 and 37 receiving yards respectively.

Shamari Brooks rushed for 68 yards for Tulsa, while Corey Taylor II added 56 yards. Zach Smith threw for 243 yards for the Golden Hurricane, while receivers Keylon Stokes and Josh Johnson had 99 and 58 yards respectively.

Cincinnati was outgained by Tulsa 377-317 yards in Saturday's match, while the important battle of first downs was won 23-18 by the Golden Hurricane.

Cincinnati lost the time of possession battle 31:04-28:56, leaving their defense on the field more than they wanted.

Next game, Cincinnati takes its act on the road to face East Carolina looking for another win. For Tulsa, they head home to face Memphis.
