UCF Defeats Houston 44-29 - Recap

UCF won 44-29 on Saturday against Houston behind a 123-yard receiving performance from Tre Nixon at Spectrum Stadium.

UCF did not, however, defeat the Cougars against the spread, which closed at -21.0 at most sportsbooks. Totals bettors, meanwhile, saw the game go OVER the closing number of 72.5.

Bentavious Thompson rushed for 65 yards, while Brandon Wimbush added 32 yards in the win. Tre Nixon and Jacob Harris added 123 and 67 receiving yards respectively.

Mulbah Car rushed for 132 yards for Houston, while Kyle Porter added 46 yards. Clayton Tune threw for 179 yards for the Cougars, while receivers Tre'von Bradley and Jeremy Singleton had 90 and 41 yards respectively.

Houston lost the offensive yardage battle to UCF 468-419 yards in Saturday's game. Houston had more first downs as that total ended up 20-16.

UCF lost the time of possession battle 41:31-18:29, leaving their defense on the field more than they wanted.

UCF heads into a Week 11 battle against Tulsa. Houston, meanwhile, will have their next action against Memphis.
