Iowa Hawkeyes vs Wisconsin Badgers Wrap - Wisconsin Wins 24-22
The Hawkeyes had no answer for Jonathan Taylor on Saturday as the Badgers rolled to a 24-22 win at Camp Randall Stadium.
The Badgers earned a straight-up victory but suffered an ATS defeat in failing to cover the -7.5-point spread. Over-Under bettors who played OVER the total of 37.5 were rewarded with a winning wager.
Jonathan Taylor rushed for 250 yards, while Nakia Watson added 32 yards in the win. Quintez Cephus and Danny Davis III added 94 and 19 receiving yards respectively.
Toren Young rushed for 44 yards for Iowa, while Tyler Goodson added 26 yards. Nate Stanley threw for 208 yards for the Hawkeyes, while receivers Tyrone Tracy Jr. and Nico Ragaini had 130 and 32 yards respectively.
Iowa was outgained by Wisconsin 473-295 yards in Saturday's match, while the important battle of first downs was won 24-15 by the Badgers.
Iowa lost the time of possession battle 37:24-22:36, leaving their defense on the field more than they wanted.
Next game, Wisconsin takes its act on the road to face Nebraska looking for another win. For Iowa, they head home to face Minnesota.
