Recap - Aggies Defeat Wyoming 26-21
Utah State won 26-21 on Saturday against Wyoming behind a 123-yard receiving performance from Siaosi Mariner at Merlin Olsen Field at Maverik Stadium.
The Aggies were a -4.5-point favorite in the win, and managed to turn a profit for their supporters. The combined score dipped UNDER the total, which closed at 51.5.
Gerold Bright rushed for 56 yards, while Jaylen Warren added 38 yards in the win. Siaosi Mariner and Deven Thompkins added 123 and 51 receiving yards respectively.
Xazavian Valladay rushed for 114 yards for Wyoming, while Brett Brenton added 22 yards. Tyler Vander Waal threw for 185 yards for the Cowboys, while receivers Josh Harshman and Austin Conway had 76 and 64 yards respectively.
Wyoming was outgained by Utah State 422-343 yards in Saturday's match, while the important battle of first downs was won 24-22 by the Cowboys.
Wyoming led the time of possession tally, as the game finished as a 33:11-26:49 split in that important category.
Next game, Utah State takes its act home to face Boise State looking for another win. For Wyoming, they head home to face Colorado State.
