Iowa State Defeats Kansas 41-31 - Recap

Brock Purdy's 372-yard performance through the air was the key in Iowa State's 41-31 win over Kansas on Saturday at Jack Trice Stadium.

The Cyclones won the battle on the scoreboard, but not at the payout window as they failed to cover the -26.0-point spread. OVER bettors were rewarded when the final score pointed to an OVER play.

Brock Purdy completed 29 of 42 pass attempts for 372 yards for the Cyclones in the win.

Pooka Williams Jr. rushed for 154 yards for Kansas, while Stephon Robinson Jr. added 6 yards. Carter Stanley threw for 328 yards for the Jayhawks, while receivers Andrew Parchment and Stephon Robinson Jr. had 86 and 75 yards respectively.

Iowa State lost the offensive yardage battle to Kansas 493-489 yards in Saturday's game. Iowa State had more first downs as that total ended up 24-22.

The time of possession battle favored Iowa State as their offense was on the field for 34:17, longer than the 25:43 of their opponents.

Next game, Iowa State takes its act on the road to face Kansas State looking for another win. For Kansas, they head home to face Baylor.
