Eagles Down Syracuse 16-13 - Match Report
The Orange had no answer for David Bailey on Saturday as the Eagles rolled to a 16-13 win at Carrier Dome.
The Eagles earned a straight-up victory but suffered an ATS defeat in failing to cover the -15.0-point spread. Over-Under bettors who played UNDER the total of 53.5 were rewarded with a winning wager.
David Bailey rushed for 125 yards, while Travis Levy added 73 yards in the win. Zay Flowers and CJ Lewis added 64 and 37 receiving yards respectively.
Sean Tucker rushed for 52 yards for Syracuse, while Nykeim Johnson added 9 yards. JaCobian Morgan threw for 188 yards for the Orange, while receivers Taj Harris and Anthony Queeley had 61 and 49 yards respectively.
Syracuse lost the offensive yardage battle to Boston College 399-240 yards in Saturday's game. Boston College had more first downs as that total ended up 20-14.
Syracuse lost the time of possession battle 38:49-21:11, leaving their defense on the field more than they wanted.
Boston College heads into a 11 battle against Notre Dame. Syracuse, meanwhile, will have their next action against Louisville.
