UTSA Falls 21-13 to Blazers - Recap
Spencer Brown scampered through the UTSA defense for 144 yards as UAB handed the Roadrunners a 21-13 defeat on Saturday at Legion Field.
Bettors who backed the Blazers were disappointed, as they failed to cover the closing number of -21.5. Over-Under bettors saw the total score go UNDER the closing total of 55.0.
Spencer Brown rushed for 144 yards, while Jermaine Brown Jr. added 38 yards in the win. Myron Mitchell and Hayden Pittman added 65 and 50 receiving yards respectively.
Sincere McCormick rushed for 150 yards for UTSA, while Lowell Narcisse added 42 yards. Jordan Weeks threw for 57 yards for the Roadrunners, while receivers Joshua Cephus and Brennon Dingle had 42 and 23 yards respectively.
UTSA lost the offensive yardage battle to UAB 409-280 yards in Saturday's game. UAB had more first downs as that total ended up 21-17.
The time of possession battle favored UAB as their offense was on the field for 33:07, longer than the 26:53 of their opponents.
Next game, UAB takes its act home to face WKU looking for another win. For UTSA, they head on the road to face BYU.
