Toledo Falls 27-24 to Cardinals - Recap

Drew Plitt's 304-yard performance through the air was the key in Ball State's 27-24 win over Toledo on Saturday at Glass Bowl.

Ball State won and also put money in the pockets of their supporters by covering the +9.5-point spread as underdogs. Totals bettors, meanwhile, saw the game go UNDER the closing number of 67.0.

Drew Plitt completed 26 of 35 pass attempts for 304 yards for the Cardinals in the win.

Bryant Koback rushed for 33 yards for Toledo, while Eli Peters added 18 yards. Eli Peters threw for 363 yards for the Rockets, while receivers Isaiah Winstead and Bryce Mitchell had 113 and 94 yards respectively.

Ball State lost the offensive yardage battle to Toledo 449-447 yards in Saturday's game. Ball State had more first downs as that total ended up 28-20.

The time of possession battle favored Ball State as their offense was on the field for 33:01, longer than the 26:59 of their opponents.

Ball State looks to continue their winning ways next game with a battle against Central Michigan. Toledo will aim to get back on the winning track at NIU.
