Recap - Spartans Defeat Hawaii 35-24

The Rainbow Warriors had no answer for Tyler Nevens on Saturday as the Spartans rolled to a 35-24 win at Hawaiian Airlines Field at Aloha Stadium.

The Spartans were a -2.5-point favorite in the win, and managed to turn a profit for their supporters. The combined score pushed PUSH the total, which closed at 59.0.

Tyler Nevens rushed for 152 yards, while Kairee Robinson added 111 yards in the win. Tre Walker and Bailey Gaither added 64 and 39 receiving yards respectively.

Chevan Cordeiro rushed for 36 yards for Hawaii, while Miles Reed added 28 yards. Chevan Cordeiro threw for 238 yards for the Rainbow Warriors, while receivers Rico Bussey and Melquise Stovall had 69 and 58 yards respectively.

Hawaii was outgained by San Jose State 468-339 yards in Saturday's match, while the important battle of first downs was won 22-21 by the Rainbow Warriors.

Hawaii lost the time of possession battle 30:37-29:23, leaving their defense on the field more than they wanted.

San Jose State looks to continue their winning ways next game with a battle against Nevada. Hawaii will aim to get back on the winning track vs. UNLV.
