BYU Defeats Navy 55-3 - Recap
Tyler Allgeier scampered through the Navy defense for 132 yards as BYU handed the Midshipmen a 55-3 defeat on Monday at Jack Stephens Field at Navy-Marine Corps Memorial Stadium.
The Cougars were a -1.0-point favorite in the win, and managed to turn a profit for their supporters. The combined score went OVER the total, which closed at 48.0.
Tyler Allgeier rushed for 132 yards, while Lopini Katoa added 80 yards in the win. Gunner Romney and Neil Pau'u added 134 and 38 receiving yards respectively.
Myles Fells rushed for 55 yards for Navy, while Jamale Carothers added 28 yards. Dalen Morris threw for 16 yards for the Midshipmen, while receivers Mark Walker and Myles Fells had 20 and 6 yards respectively.
Navy was outgained by BYU 580-149 yards in Monday's match, while the important battle of first downs was won 28-7 by the Cougars.
Navy lost the time of possession battle 37:20-22:40, leaving their defense on the field more than they wanted.
