Georgia Tech Defeats Louisville 46-27 - Recap

The Yellow Jackets grabbed a Week 6 victory over the Cardinals on Friday, winning 46-27 at Bobby Dodd Stadium at Historic Grant Field.

Bettors who backed the Yellow Jackets were also rewarded, as they covered the closing number as an underdog of +4.5 at sportsbooks. Over-Under bettors saw the total score go OVER the closing total of 63.0.

Jeff Sims rushed for 64 yards, while Jahmyr Gibbs added 61 yards in the win. Malachi Carter and Jahmyr Gibbs added 89 and 60 receiving yards respectively.

Javian Hawkins rushed for 155 yards for Louisville, while Malik Cunningham added 50 yards. Malik Cunningham threw for 229 yards for the Cardinals, while receivers Marshon Ford and Tutu Atwell had 89 and 52 yards respectively.

Georgia Tech lost the offensive yardage battle to Louisville 471-450 yards in Friday's game. Louisville had more first downs as that total ended up 24-19.

The time of possession battle favored Louisville as their offense was on the field for 36:38, longer than the 23:22 of their opponents.

Next game, Georgia Tech takes its act home to face Clemson looking for another win. For Louisville, they head on the road to face Notre Dame.
