Iowa State Falls 31-14 to Ragin' Cajuns - Recap

The Ragin' Cajuns were Week 2 winners on Saturday, coming out on top of the Cyclones by a score of 31-14 at Jack Trice Stadium.

Trey Ragas rushed for 49 yards, while Elijah Mitchell added 46 yards in the win. Peter LeBlanc and Elijah Mitchell added 82 and 22 receiving yards respectively.

Breece Hall rushed for 103 yards for Iowa State, while Brock Purdy added 35 yards. Brock Purdy threw for 145 yards for the Cyclones, while receivers Xavier Hutchinson and Sean Shaw Jr. had 43 and 34 yards respectively.

Louisiana-Lafayette lost the offensive yardage battle to Iowa State 303-272 yards in Saturday's game. Iowa State had more first downs as that total ended up 18-14.

The time of possession battle favored Iowa State as their offense was on the field for 32:19, longer than the 27:41 of their opponents.

Louisiana-Lafayette heads into a 3 battle against Georgia State. Iowa State, meanwhile, will have their next action against TCU.
