Central Arkansas Falls 45-35 to Blazers - Recap
The Bears had no answer for Spencer Brown on Thursday as the Blazers rolled to a 45-35 win at Legion Field.
UAB did not, however, defeat the Bears against the spread, which closed at -20.5 at most sportsbooks. Totals bettors, meanwhile, saw the game go OVER the closing number of 50.0.
Spencer Brown rushed for 127 yards, while Jermaine Brown Jr. added 75 yards in the win. Austin Watkins Jr. and Myron Mitchell added 72 and 47 receiving yards respectively.
Kierre Crossley rushed for 59 yards for Central Arkansas, while Cameron Myers added 32 yards. Breylin Smith threw for 193 yards for the Bears, while receivers Lujuan Winningham and Tobias Enlow had 53 and 46 yards respectively.
Central Arkansas lost the offensive yardage battle to UAB 459-293 yards in Thursday's game. UAB had more first downs as that total ended up 29-20.
UAB led the time of possession tally, as the game finished as a 37:05-22:55 split in that important category.
UAB heads into a Week 2 battle against Miami-FL. Central Arkansas, meanwhile, will have their next action against Arkansas State.
