Recap - Bears Defeat Texas State 29-20

Trestan Ebner ran for 120 yards as Baylor handled Texas State by a score of 29-20 on Saturday at Jim Wacker Field at Bobcat Stadium.

Baylor won on the scoreboard, but lost at the pay window as they failed to cover the -13.5-point spread. The game went UNDER the consensus closing total of 53.0.

Trestan Ebner rushed for 120 yards, while Abram Smith added 118 yards in the win. R.J. Sneed and Tyquan Thornton added 92 and 46 receiving yards respectively.

Jahmyl Jeter rushed for 45 yards for Texas State, while Calvin Hill added 31 yards. Brady McBride threw for 156 yards for the Bobcats, while receivers Marcell Barbee and Seth Caillouet had 56 and 25 yards respectively.

Baylor outgained Texas State 386-235 yards in the game, while the battle of first downs was won 22-20 by the Bears.

Baylor led the time of possession tally, as the game finished as a 34:48-25:12 split in that important category.

Next game, Baylor takes its act home to face Texas Southern looking for another win. For Texas State, they head on the road to face FIU.
