Notre Dame Defeats Florida State 41-38 - Recap

Jack Coan's 366-yard performance through the air was the key in Notre Dame's 41-38 win over Florida State on Sunday at Bobby Bowden Field at Doak Campbell Stadium.

Notre Dame won on the scoreboard, but lost at the pay window as they failed to cover the -7.0-point spread. The game went OVER the consensus closing total of 53.5.

Jack Coan completed 26 of 35 pass attempts for 366 yards for the Fighting Irish in the win.

Jashaun Corbin rushed for 144 yards for Florida State, while Treshaun Ward added 76 yards. Jordan Travis threw for 130 yards for the Seminoles, while receivers Ja'Khi Douglas and Keyshawn Helton had 80 and 53 yards respectively.

Florida State outgained Notre Dame 442-431 yards in the game, while the battle of first downs was won 19-17 by the Seminoles.

Notre Dame led the time of possession tally, as the game finished as a 30:35-29:25 split in that important category.

Next game, Notre Dame takes its act home to face Toledo looking for another win. For Florida State, they head home to face Jacksonville State.
