Recap - Eagles Defeat Massachusetts 45-28

Boston College got a 160-yard performance from Pat Garwo III as a key part of its 45-28 victory over the Minutemen on Saturday at Warren P. McGuirk Alumni Stadium.

Boston College won on the scoreboard, but lost at the pay window as they failed to cover the -40.0-point spread. The game went OVER the consensus closing total of 57.0.

Pat Garwo III rushed for 160 yards, while Alec Sinkfield added 45 yards in the win. Trae Barry and Zay Flowers added 98 and 68 receiving yards respectively.

Ellis Merriweather rushed for 56 yards for Massachusetts, while Kay'Ron Adams added 34 yards. Brady Olson threw for 214 yards for the Minutemen, while receivers Rico Arnold and Taylor Edwards had 85 and 32 yards respectively.

Massachusetts lost the offensive yardage battle to Boston College 471-335 yards in Saturday's game. Boston College had more first downs as that total ended up 24-20.

Massachusetts lost the time of possession battle 32:24-27:36, leaving their defense on the field more than they wanted.

Boston College looks to continue their winning ways next game with a battle against Temple. Massachusetts will aim to get back on the winning track vs. Eastern Michigan.
