Kent State Golden Flashes vs Iowa Hawkeyes Wrap - Iowa Wins 30-7

Iowa got a 153-yard performance from Tyler Goodson as a key part of its 30-7 victory over the Golden Flashes on Saturday at Kinnick Stadium.

The Hawkeyes were a -22.5-point favorite in the win, and managed to turn a profit for their supporters. The combined score dipped UNDER the total, which closed at 55.0.

Tyler Goodson rushed for 153 yards, while Ivory Kelly-Martin added 19 yards in the win. Sam LaPorta and Nico Ragaini added 65 and 54 receiving yards respectively.

Marquez Cooper rushed for 38 yards for Kent State, while Bryan Bradford added 28 yards. Dustin Crum threw for 185 yards for the Golden Flashes, while receivers Keshunn Abram and Nykeim Johnson had 138 and 28 yards respectively.

Iowa outgained Kent State 418-264 yards in the game, while the battle of first downs was won 21-17 by the Hawkeyes.

Kent State lost the time of possession battle 36:22-23:22, leaving their defense on the field more than they wanted.

Next game, Iowa takes its act home to face Colorado State looking for another win. For Kent State, they head on the road to face Maryland.
