Recap - Orange Defeat Liberty 24-21

Sean Tucker ran for 169 yards as Syracuse handled Liberty by a score of 24-21 on Friday at Carrier Dome.

Syracuse won and also put money in the pockets of their supporters by covering the +6.5-point spread as underdogs. Totals bettors, meanwhile, saw the game go UNDER the closing number of 54.0.

Sean Tucker rushed for 169 yards, while Garrett Shrader added 53 yards in the win. Sean Tucker and Taj Harris added 27 and 20 receiving yards respectively.

Shedro Louis rushed for 59 yards for Liberty, while Malik Willis added 49 yards. Malik Willis threw for 205 yards for the Flames, while receivers CJ Daniels and Demario Douglas had 86 and 62 yards respectively.

Liberty outgained Syracuse 369-305 yards in the game, while the battle of first downs was won 22-20 by the Orange.

Syracuse led the time of possession tally, as the game finished as a 31:21-28:39 split in that important category.

Next game, Syracuse takes its act on the road to face Florida State looking for another win. For Liberty, they head on the road to face UAB.
