Georgia Tech Falls 26-17 to Hokies - Recap

Malachi Thomas tore up the turf for 103 rushing yards on Saturday to lead the Hokies to a 26-17 win over the Yellow Jackets at Bobby Dodd Stadium at Historic Grant Field.

Malachi Thomas rushed for 103 yards, while Raheem Blackshear added 83 yards in the win. Tre Turner and Nick Gallo added 187 and 27 receiving yards respectively.

Jahmyr Gibbs rushed for 113 yards for Georgia Tech, while Jeff Sims added 60 yards. Jeff Sims threw for 183 yards for the Yellow Jackets, while receivers Adonicas Sanders and Kyric McGowan had 64 and 53 yards respectively.

Virginia Tech outgained Georgia Tech 491-366 yards in the game, while the battle of first downs was won 23-16 by the Hokies.

Virginia Tech led the time of possession tally, as the game finished as a 35:48-24:12 split in that important category.

Virginia Tech looks to continue their winning ways next game with a battle against Boston College. Georgia Tech will aim to get back on the winning track at Miami-FL.
