Recap - Gamecocks Defeat Florida 40-17
Kevin Harris tore up the turf for 128 rushing yards on Saturday to lead the Gamecocks to a 40-17 win over the Gators at Williams-Brice Stadium.
South Carolina won and also put money in the pockets of their supporters by covering the +20.5-point spread as underdogs. Totals bettors, meanwhile, saw the game go OVER the closing number of 52.0.
Kevin Harris rushed for 128 yards, while ZaQuandre White added 111 yards in the win. Josh Vann and Nick Muse added 111 and 38 receiving yards respectively.
Dameon Pierce rushed for 39 yards for Florida, while Emory Jones added 26 yards. Emory Jones threw for 258 yards for the Gators, while receivers Justin Shorter and Marcus Burke had 92 and 73 yards respectively.
South Carolina outgained Florida 459-340 yards in the game, while the battle of first downs was won 21-13 by the Gamecocks.
The time of possession battle favored South Carolina as their offense was on the field for 36:18, longer than the 23:42 of their opponents.
Next game, South Carolina takes its act on the road to face Missouri looking for another win. For Florida, they head home to face Samford.
