Marshall Falls 21-14 to Blazers - Recap
UAB got a 108-yard performance from DeWayne McBride as a key part of its 21-14 victory over the Thundering Herd on Saturday at Joan C. Edwards Stadium.
The Blazers were a +4.5-point underdog in the win, and managed to turn a profit for their supporters. The combined score dipped UNDER the total, which closed at 55.0.
DeWayne McBride rushed for 108 yards, while Jermaine Brown Jr. added 16 yards in the win. Gerrit Prince and Trea Shropshire added 100 and 100 receiving yards respectively.
Rasheen Ali rushed for 41 yards for Marshall, while Grant Wells added -4 yards. Grant Wells threw for 232 yards for the Thundering Herd, while receivers Corey Gammage and Jayden Harrison had 67 and 65 yards respectively.
Marshall lost the offensive yardage battle to UAB 338-269 yards in Saturday's game. UAB had more first downs as that total ended up 17-16.
Marshall lost the time of possession battle 37:43-22:17, leaving their defense on the field more than they wanted.
UAB heads into a 12 battle against UTSA. Marshall, meanwhile, will have their next action against Charlotte.
