WKU Defeats Rice 42-21 - Recap
Bailey Zappe was good for 482 yards through the air on Saturday as the Hilltoppers got past the Owls by a score of 42-21 at Rice Stadium.
Bettors who backed the Hilltoppers were also rewarded, as they covered the closing number as a favorite of -19.0 at sportsbooks. Over-Under bettors saw the total score go OVER the closing total of 61.0.

WKU outgained Rice 587-504 yards in the game, while the battle of first downs was won 28-25 by the Hilltoppers.
WKU lost the time of possession battle 35:14-24:20, leaving their defense on the field more than they wanted.
WKU heads into a 12 battle against Florida Atlantic. Rice, meanwhile, will have their next action against UTEP.
