Cavaliers Fall 28-3 Against Notre Dame - Game Recap

Notre Dame cruised to victory on Saturday, as they ran up a 28-3 score against Virginia in Week 11 action at David A. Harrison III Field at Scott Stadium.

Bettors who backed the Fighting Irish were also rewarded, as they covered the closing number as a favorite of -9.0 at sportsbooks. Over-Under bettors saw the total score go UNDER the closing total of 61.5.

Kyren Williams rushed for 70 yards, while Logan Diggs added 64 yards in the win. Michael Mayer and Kevin Austin Jr. added 84 and 38 receiving yards respectively.

Mike Hollins rushed for 44 yards for Virginia, while Jay Woolfolk added 15 yards. Dontayvion Wicks threw for 0 yards for the Cavaliers, while receivers Keytaon Thompson and Billy Kemp IV had 110 and 37 yards respectively.

Virginia lost the offensive yardage battle to Notre Dame 423-278 yards in Saturday's game. Notre Dame had more first downs as that total ended up 23-17.

The time of possession battle favored Virginia as their offense was on the field for 30:19, longer than the 29:41 of their opponents.

Notre Dame heads into a 12 battle against Georgia Tech. Virginia, meanwhile, will have their next action against Pittsburgh.
