Recap - Volunteers Defeat Vanderbilt 45-21
Vanderbilt was unable to contain Jaylen Wright on Saturday and the result was a 45-21 Week 13 loss against the Volunteers.
Tennessee did not, however, defeat the Commodores against the spread, which closed at -33.0 at most sportsbooks. Totals bettors, meanwhile, saw the game go OVER the closing number of 64.5.
Jaylen Wright rushed for 112 yards, while Jabari Small added 103 yards in the win. Cedric Tillman and Princeton Fant added 106 and 23 receiving yards respectively.
Rocko Griffin rushed for 104 yards for Vanderbilt, while Mike Wright added 7 yards. Mike Wright threw for 198 yards for the Commodores, while receivers Will Sheppard and Chris Pierce Jr. had 98 and 45 yards respectively.
Vanderbilt lost the offensive yardage battle to Tennessee 441-321 yards in Saturday's game. Tennessee had more first downs as that total ended up 26-18.
The time of possession battle favored Vanderbilt as their offense was on the field for 38:16, longer than the 21:44 of their opponents.
