Trojans Fall 35-31 Against BYU - Game Recap
The Trojans had no answer for Tyler Allgeier on Saturday as the Cougars rolled to a 35-31 win at United Airlines Field at the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum.
The Cougars won the battle on the scoreboard, but not at the payout window as they failed to cover the -8.5-point spread. OVER bettors were rewarded when the final score pointed to an OVER play.
Tyler Allgeier rushed for 111 yards, while Jaren Hall added 26 yards in the win. Keanu Hill and Dallin Holker added 72 and 56 receiving yards respectively.
Vavae Malepeai rushed for 99 yards for USC, while Darwin Barlow added 81 yards. Jaxson Dart threw for 248 yards for the Trojans, while receivers Lake McRee and Gary Bryant Jr. had 63 and 56 yards respectively.
The time of possession battle favored BYU as their offense was on the field for 31:09, longer than the 28:51 of their opponents.
