San Jose State Falls 27-24 to Wolf Pack - Recap
Carson Strong was good for 314 yards through the air on Saturday as the Wolf Pack got past the Spartans by a score of 27-24 at Clarence Mackay Stadium.
The Wolf Pack earned a straight-up victory but suffered an ATS defeat in failing to cover the -11.5-point spread. Over-Under bettors who played UNDER the total of 55.0 were rewarded with a winning wager.
Carson Strong completed 36 of 54 pass attempts for 314 yards for the Wolf Pack in the win.
Tyler Nevens rushed for 116 yards for San Jose State, while Kairee Robinson added 32 yards. Nick Starkel threw for 255 yards for the Spartans, while receivers Jermaine Braddock and Malikhi Miller had 140 and 48 yards respectively.
Nevada was outgained by San Jose State 449-367 yards in Saturday's match, while the important battle of first downs was won 25-19 by the Wolf Pack.
The time of possession battle favored Nevada as their offense was on the field for 31:10, longer than the 28:50 of their opponents.
Next game, Nevada takes its act on the road to face San Diego State looking for another win. For San Jose State, they head home to face Utah State.
