Golden Bears vs Cardinal Final: 27-20 - Recap

Jeremiah Hunter caught 5 passes for 103 yards against the Stanford defense as California handed the Cardinal a 27-20 loss on Saturday at FTX Field at California Memorial Stadium.

Bettors who backed the Golden Bears were also rewarded, as they covered the closing number as a favorite of -4.5 at sportsbooks. Over-Under bettors saw the total score go OVER the closing total of 46.5.

Jaydn Ott rushed for 97 yards, while DeCarlos Brooks added 19 yards in the win. Jeremiah Hunter and J.Michael Sturdivant added 103 and 70 receiving yards respectively.

Mitch Leigber rushed for 83 yards for Stanford, while Ashton Daniels added 58 yards. Tanner McKee threw for 271 yards for the Cardinal, while receivers Elijah Higgins and Mitch Leigber had 69 and 53 yards respectively.

California lost the offensive yardage battle to Stanford 400-393 yards in Saturday's game. Stanford had more first downs as that total ended up 22-19.

The time of possession battle favored Stanford as their offense was on the field for 34:00, longer than the 26:00 of their opponents.

Next game, California takes its act home to face UCLA looking for another win. For Stanford, they head home to face BYU.
