Recap - Orange Defeat Louisville 31-7
The battle between the Orange and Cardinals didn't turn out to be much of a battle at all as Louisville was handed a 31-7 defeat on Saturday at Carrier Dome.
Syracuse was an underdog by +5.0 points and came through with an ATS victory for bettors. The game went UNDER the consensus closing total of 55.5.
Sean Tucker rushed for 98 yards, while Garrett Shrader added 95 yards in the win. Sean Tucker and Devaughn Cooper added 85 and 60 receiving yards respectively.
Tiyon Evans rushed for 89 yards for Louisville, while Malik Cunningham added 34 yards. Braden Smith threw for 45 yards for the Cardinals, while receivers Tyler Hudson and Ahmari Huggins-Bruce had 102 and 57 yards respectively.
Louisville was outgained by Syracuse 449-334 yards in Saturday's match, while the important battle of first downs was won 23-15 by the Orange.
Louisville lost the time of possession battle 32:31-27:29, leaving their defense on the field more than they wanted.
