Seminoles Fall 34-28 Against Clemson - Game Recap

Will Shipley scampered through the Florida State defense for 121 yards as Clemson handed the Seminoles a 34-28 defeat on Saturday at Bobby Bowden Field at Doak Campbell Stadium.

Clemson won and also put money in the pockets of their supporters by covering the -5.0-point spread as favorites. Totals bettors, meanwhile, saw the game go OVER the closing number of 51.0.

Will Shipley rushed for 121 yards, while Phil Mafah added 27 yards in the win. Antonio Williams and Will Shipley added 76 and 48 receiving yards respectively.

Trey Benson rushed for 69 yards for Florida State, while Lawrance Toafili added 68 yards. Jordan Travis threw for 254 yards for the Seminoles, while receivers Johnny Wilson and Markeston Douglas had 75 and 52 yards respectively.

Clemson was outgained by Florida State 460-370 yards in Saturday's match, while the important battle of first downs was won 28-18 by the Seminoles.

The time of possession battle favored Clemson as their offense was on the field for 31:14, longer than the 28:46 of their opponents.

Clemson looks to continue their winning ways next game with a battle against Syracuse. Florida State will aim to get back on the winning track vs. Georgia Tech.
