Wildcats Fall 33-13 Against Iowa - Game Recap

The battle between the Hawkeyes and Wildcats didn't turn out to be much of a battle at all as Northwestern was handed a 33-13 defeat on Saturday at Kinnick Stadium.

Iowa was the ATS victor, as they covered the -11.0-point spread as a favorite. Over-Under bettors who played OVER the total of 37.5 were rewarded at the payout window.

Kaleb Johnson rushed for 88 yards, while Leshon Williams added 43 yards in the win. Nico Ragaini and Sam LaPorta added 66 and 53 receiving yards respectively.

Evan Hull rushed for 32 yards for Northwestern, while Anthony Tyus III added 15 yards. Brendan Sullivan threw for 159 yards for the Wildcats, while receivers Bryce Kirtz and Evan Hull had 35 and 25 yards respectively.

Northwestern was outgained by Iowa 393-177 yards in Saturday's match, while the important battle of first downs was won 25-16 by the Hawkeyes.

Iowa led the time of possession tally, as the game finished as a 31:44-28:16 split in that important category.

Next game, Iowa takes its act on the road to face Purdue looking for another win. For Northwestern, they head home to face Ohio State.
